In line with Covid-19 restrictions our shop is now closed. We hope to re-open on Wednesday 2nd December.
Bearing in mind our line of business, November is normally a particularly busy month of trading. It has been very hard for us, along with many other small businesses, to shut our doors to our customers. This shop has been in the business of serving customers for 73 years now, and certainly since it became a greetings card specialist, this time of year has been challenging and hard work for staff as many customers stream through the door to buy all their greeting needs for Christmas, not just cards, but wrapping accessories, Advent Calendars, diaries, yearly calendars and gifts. Hard work it may be, but always a pleasure to share the excitement with our customers, that the build up to Christmas normally brings, and help them with the stress as well as the fun!! Many of our customers are friends, some come from far afield particularly at this time of year, to get their special Christmas cards from us. Always lovely to celebrate with these friends as they buy for new family members, or sympathise with them for a loved one who is no longer with them. So for us it is very difficult to have to shut the shop at this time, although of course it is for everyone’s safety.
We hope that the measures we have put in place for “Select at Home” will help us all, and we will look forward to seeing everyone again as soon as it is possible.
